Municipal Pool Complex

The Bay Minette Muncipal Pool Complex is at 1300 Bradley Avenue, located at the intersection of East 12th Street. ‚Äč The municipal facility includes two pools and multiple slides and a diving board. The smaller pool features a zero entry, which makes it wheelchair accessible. Also located at the pool complex are multiple tennis courts, basketball courts, a walking path and universal playground, which are free and open to the public.

Memberships are now being accepted for the Bay Minette Municipal Pool. From now through May 12, members can receive a $25 discount on all membership levels: Individual, Family and Senior/Couple. Membership forms are available here and Bay Minette City Hall.

Daily admission fees are $8 per person with children under the age of 2-years admitted free. Membership packages are available (see information below)

Discount Saver's Cards are now available for the Bay Minette Municipal Pool. The cards are $35 and include six admissions to the pool. The regular daily rate is $8. The cards can be purchased at Bay Minette City Hall through May 26. The pool will open May 27 and the Saver's Cards will not be available for purchase during the swim season. 

SWIM LESSONS: The first session will be held June 13-21 and the second session will be July 11-21.Class time for both sessions will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday through Thursday. For members, the cost is $55 for the first child and $50 for each additional child in the same family. For non-members, the fee is $60 for first child and $55 for each additional child in the same family.

The classes are open to children 3-years and older. Private lessons are also available for all ages and cost $75 for the one-on-one instruction. For more information, email Janet Caraway, Pool Manager, at bmcitypool@att.net or call the pool office at 937-1367.

Tiger Sharks Swim Team 

Registration is now underway for the Tiger Sharks Bay Minette Swim Team. Registration is $110 which include a swim cap and T-shirt.

The Swim Team is open to children ages 5- to 18-years. No previous experience is required and you do not have to be a member of the pool to participate. Practice sessions will be held Monday through Thursdays, beginning May 31. Practice sessions will be held 8 to 9:10 a.m. for Intermediate &  Advanced and from 9:15 to 9:55 a.m. for Beginner.

Aimee Hadley returns as the Head Coach and she will be assisted by Sarah Catherine Caldwell and Tucker Clay.

Hadley swam competitively for many years with the BMST. She went on to compete with the Baldwin County High School Swim Team for four years and served as team captain. She made All-County Swimmer all four years. Hadley has worked as the Assistant Coach for the Tiger Sharks for three years and will now serve as Head Coach. She is a sophomore at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and will be marking her fourth year as a lifeguard for the Bay Minette Municipal Pool.

Caldwell began swimming at the age of six for BMST. She started to swim year-round for Southern Waters Aquatics Team in Daphne four years later. In eighth grade, she began swimming for McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, where she has been named All-County Swimmer in the 200 and 500 Freestyle, received Most Improved, and was a participant in the third place finishing State team in 2013. Since swimming with McGill-Toolen, the Lady Jackets placed first in state competition in 2012 and as a team, they were recognized as Silver Academic Medalists by USA Swimming.

Clay has been a long-time swimmer and will again serve as a lifeguard for the Bay Minette Municipal Pool. She has served in many leadership roles while a student at Baldwin County High School including senior class president. Clay attends the University of Southern Mississippi where she is Director of Crews for the Delta Gamma Sorority. She is also a member of the USM Dixie Darlings and served on the Student Council.

The above rates are for 50 guests. For each additional 20 guests add $60.00 to the above rates for extra lifeguard.

Booking your Private Party: 


  • $100.00 Non-Refundable Booking Fee is required to hold your date; full payment due two weeks prior to the party.
  • Private parties can only be scheduled during non-pool hours (after 6 p.m.)
  • Private parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Lifeguards will be provided for all private parties
  • Party host is responsible for cleanup after the party
  • Food and drinks only allowed in designated areas
  • Alcoholic Beverages, Smoking and Tobacco Products are prohibited at the pool and all City Parks.
  • Concessions will not be provided for private pool parties unless prior arrangements have been made.

Directions to Pool


Coming from Mobile on I-65: Take the AL-59 S exit, EXIT 34, toward Bay Minette. Stay straight to go onto HAND AVENUE/AL-287. Turn LEFT on E 12th Street. (There is a sign that says City Pool; First Baptist Church is on right hand side of road). Turn left on Bradley Avenue (you will see the pool complex) and then right into the parking lot.

Coming from US Hwy 31 S: Go NORTH on US-31 N/AL-59 N and continue to follow US-31 N/AL-59 N until you get to Bay Minette over pass; stay straight until you see Wal-Mart on your left hand side; Next to Ruby Tuesday's there is a road called WEST 9th Street, turn onto W 9th Street and go straight until you come to a RED LIGHT; turn left at the red light onto HAND AVENUE; go up three blocks and take a right onto 12th Street (First Baptist Church will be on your left hand side and there is a sign that says City Pool); go straight on 12th; take a left on Bradley Avenue (you will see the Pool Complex) and then right into the parking lot.

Universal Playground


Built in 2011, the Universal Playground was funded through a grant provided by The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs in addition to local matching funds provided by the City of Bay Minette. The park is located at the corner of Bradley Avenue and East 12st Street at the Municipal Pool Complex.

The park features typical playground equipment, but with a design that accommodates those with special needs. The play area includes zip slides, climbing walls, various slides, umbrella canopies and Americans with Disabilities Act-approved amenities. It also include double ramps to allow for multiple wheelchairs, and the groundcover is concrete with a padding overlay to make it easier for wheelchairs to maneuver through the park.
